Il Primo Passo for Shoe Addicts™ is the brainchild of Beth Whiffen, a self-professed stiletto junkie. Her unnatural obsession with footwear began at age three, when her favorite activity was stomping around the house in her mom’s Pappagallo shoes, which she complained didn’t have high enough heels. Today, there is no heel too high for her, and she is known for telling her friends that her four-inch stilettos “feel like slippers.” Being a Santa Monica, Calif., local, she also has an affinity for bejeweled flip-flops, embellished sandals, and ballet flats—all of which you’ll find in the store.

Before opening Il Primo Passo for
Shoe Addicts™, Beth worked as a fashion writer and staff editor at Cosmopolitan in New York. She has written about fashion and style for such publications as Allure, Cosmo, Daily Candy, and Genlux, among others.
